If Chateau de France Macarons were the best macarons I've tasted to date, Tous Les Jours Macarons de Paris were the cheapest at 28Php each. Actually, Tous Les Jours is a French-Asian bakery that started in Korea. Their products are shouting "buy me!" with their delectable appearance and affordable price.

Tous Les Jours macarons come in a nice packaging. One would usually buy a pack of 5 at 140Php. They have a customized container for 5 macarons, sealed with a Tous Les Jours ribbon and placed in a neatly-designed paper bag. The customized container is a good idea for these delicate pieces as it prevents the macarons from breaking while being carried or when you're about to pick it. My experience with a box packaging is that the macaron tends to break when I try to get my first piece as there's no enough space for my fingers.

Tous Les Jours macarons are slightly bigger at around 2inches in diameter. Their meringue is not the "oh-so-soft" type but it's a crisp-chewy combination. The filling is quite thin that it can barely hold the two meringue together. I guess the idea is to experience more of the meringue and a hint of flavor through the filling.

I tried to focus on the filling just to check if it would be enough to differentiate the flavors (setting aside the colors). Vanilla macaron has a sweet, candy-like flavor, while for mango macaron, I had trouble identifying its "mango-ness". Chocolate macaron was quite obvious with its creamy bittery taste and is actually my favorite among the batch. Strawberry macaron was also good and distinctive with its sweet-sour strawberry ganache.

Tous Les Jours macarons may not be the best but definitely they're not bad at all with their cheaper price, bigger size, and my go-to place for affordable macarons. Add to that, they are conveniently located in Glorietta 4, Greenbelt 5, plus other malls and soon-to-open branches.
