There’s something special about the place where it all began. Last
September 22, I had the chance to be part of a special moment -- the
reopening of Pancake House Paseo de Magallanes, the very first store that started it all back in 1970.

51 pancakes for 51 years of comfort dining |
The ceremony began with a ribbon cutting, followed by the pouring of syrup on a towering stack of 51 pancakes, symbolizing the brand’s
51 years of comfort dining. It was a sweet nod to its legacy and a reminder of why Pancake House remains close to the hearts of Filipino families.

A Familiar Favorite, Now Cozier Than Ever
Walking into the refreshed store, I immediately noticed the new look inspired by a
barn-style design that feels warm, nubby, and homey. It’s not about changing what we already love but improving the space to make it even more welcoming. The result is a
blend of classic comfort with a fresh, updated feel.

Some of the new touches include:
- A dedicated takeout window, making it easier to bring comfort food with you on the go
- A coffee nook, in collaboration with Yardstick Coffee, for a perfectly brewed cup to pair with your meal
- Cookies from The Kind Cookie, available in-store for an added treat

Same Comfort, Classic Favorites
No matter how much the space evolves,
Pancake House stays true to its promise of comfort. Guests can still enjoy their well-loved dishes like
Pan Chicken®,
Golden Brown Waffles,
Pancakes,
Spaghetti, and the
Best Taco in Town -- flavors that have been part of countless family gatherings and everyday meals.

House Special Set B |
When I visited with my son, we stuck to our personal favorites: the
House Special Set A for me and the
House Special Set B (plus rice) for him. Simple, satisfying, and always the kind of comfort we come back for.
More Than Just Food
Pancake House has always been more than the dishes on the table. It’s about
connection,
experience, and the
feeling of coming home. With its refreshed interiors, coffee nook, and dedicated takeout window, the Magallanes branch now gives even more ways to enjoy those familiar flavors whether you’re dining in, grabbing a quick coffee, or taking home your comfort food.

As it reopens in 2025,
Pancake House Paseo de Magallanes blends its classic offerings with a refreshed look while keeping the same warmth and comfort we’ve always known. It’s the same Pancake House we grew up with, now made cozier for the years ahead.
