| Two Big-Screen Exclusives only at Robinsons Movieworld this December! |
Robinsons Movieworld is kicking off December with something exciting -- not just one, but two exclusive international films that Filipino audiences can enjoy on the big screen. From December 3 to 15, 2025, moviegoers can catch Crayon Shin-Chan: Our Dinosaur Diary, followed by the highly anticipated Korean film The First Ride starting December 10, 2025. With tickets starting at Php300, these limited-run titles make the perfect holiday treat for families, friends, and anyone in the mood for something fresh and heartwarming.
And lucky me, I got to experience both movies ahead of everyone else during a special advanced screening last November 25 at Robinsons Movieworld Galleria. It felt like a mini movie marathon, and the mix of fun, nostalgia, and heartfelt moments made the night feel extra special.
Crayon Shin-Chan: Our Dinosaur Diary
Same Shin-Chan charm, new adventure![]() |
| Crayon Shin-Chan: Our Dinosaur Diary |
I’ve been watching Crayon Shin-Chan for as long as I can remember. His weirdness, bluntness, and the way he reacts to things with absolutely no filter -- it just gets me every time. So sitting down to watch Crayon Shin-Chan: Our Dinosaur Diary, I already knew I was in for some laughs. And true enough, the movie didn’t disappoint.
What I appreciated was how the film stayed true to Shin-Chan’s iconic humor -- the kind that’s silly, unexpected, and oddly heartwarming. But beyond Shinnosuke being his usual chaotic self, the story had a sense of adventure that kids will enjoy even if they’re completely new to Shin-Chan.
In this movie, Shinnosuke and his ever-faithful dog Shiro find themselves exploring a dinosaur theme park where prehistoric creatures come alive. Directed by Shinobu Sasaki and voiced by longtime cast members Yumiko Kobayashi, Miki Narahashi, and Toshiyuki Morikawa, the film carries the same charm that fans like me grew up loving.
It’s funny, it’s adventurous, and it has that little emotional pinch that makes you feel something at the end. Definitely a great movie for families.

The First Ride
A story of friendship we can all relate to (and secretly wish we had)![]() |
| The First Ride |
After Shin-Chan’s chaos, I shifted gears to The First Ride -- and wow, this movie hit differently.
Featuring Korean stars Cha Eun-woo, Kang Ha-neul, Kim Young-kwang, Kang Yong-suk, and Han Seon Hwa, the film dives into something many of us know too well: those long-planned barkada trips that never seem to happen… until they finally do.
The story follows four childhood friends who embark on their long-awaited adventure abroad. And watching them brought back so many memories -- both of friendships that stayed and those that drifted. The film blends humor, warmth, and just the right amount of heart-tugging moments. There were scenes where I laughed out loud, and others where I found myself wiping a tear (or pretending I had something in my eye).
And I have to say, as a longtime fan of Cha Eun-woo, seeing him on the big screen was such a treat. His infectious smile honestly kept me afloat while watching -- kilig moments included (haha!). But beyond that, the movie shines because of the entire group. Each character brings such distinct personalities and quirks that you can’t help but grow attached to them. They’re funny in their own ways, flawed in the most endearing manner, and together they build a story that feels rich, full of heart, and beautifully human. With all their differences, they create a friendship dynamic that makes the whole film vibrant and unforgettable.
What really stayed with me is how genuine the friendships felt -- the little arguments, the inside jokes, the old wounds, and the quiet loyalty. It’s the kind of movie that makes you look back on your own friendships… or wish you had friends who’d keep a promise for years.
Directed by Nam Dae-Joong, The First Ride is fun, heartfelt, and simply a feel-good experience from start to finish. Definitely a must-watch!
