The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf: Unveiling of Giving Journal 2017 at The Giving Town Christmas Fair

The Giving Town Christmas Fair

Ten weeks before we welcome year 2017, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf held its The Giving Town Christmas Fair at The Gallery Greenbelt 5. It is in this event that they unveiled the Giving Journal 2017, which comes in four colors (rose, turquoise, purple, grey), each representing a Giving icon.
what The Giving Town is abouthelping lives

I am not one of those who buy coffee to collect stamps and avail next year's planner. I get my coffee or tea fix from time to time, yes. I used to buy planners which cost around Php 350-600. My notion was that why would I have to spend thousands for coffee if I can buy a similarly interesting planner for a cheaper price.

But when I attended The Giving Town event last October 21, 2016, it was then I learned that it's not really about getting more customers and collecting stamps. It is The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf's way to give back to the community. And we, too, as their customers can help with every cup of coffee or tea that we consume.

For 9 years now, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has continued to fulfill their commitment in giving and making lives better, one cup at a time. This year's central theme is the cup that changes lives. The Giving Town provided a venue for customers to learn more about CBTL's partner organizations, to be involved in various advocacy -- all while enjoying in different activity booths. Here are some of their partner organizations:
took the origami challenge at the Real LIFE Foundation booth
Virlanie Foundation and its Giving TreeResources for the Blind Inc.
assembled the vision puzzle at the Habitat for Humanity booth
