Biannah's Grill: Crispy Tuna Tail, Supreme Nachos, and more!

Biannah's Grill

Started as an eatery made of container van, now with expanded space, Biannah's Grill was one of the restaurants we visited during the Hunger Games Day 2 organized by Zomato, ABS-CBN, and Choose Philippines.
air-conditioned area

Coming from the names of the owner's daughters, Bianca and Hannah, Biannah's Grill is an airy and spacious place to dine if you're up for some home-cooked non-fancy dishes. I also picture it as a place to chill out with friends after a long day at work, while chugging some ice cold beer.

Supreme Nachos (200Php)
Supreme Nachos

For this Supreme Nachos, expect more of a Filipino style with its sweet sauce and the cheese used. I really enjoyed the overwhelming cheese and the overall combination of the toppings. It may be far from the Mexican origin of nachos, but it definitely suits the Filipino tastebuds.

Pork Sisig (160Php)
Pork Sisig

If you're after a crunchy sisig, this Pork Sisig is for you. Not only it is crunchy, but is also spicy -- the kind that you can feel in your ears but still tolerable.

Pinakbet (180Php)
Pinakbet

This Pinakbet is loaded with crispy pork, shrimp, and vegetables. Admittedly, I'm not fond of eating veggies and this dish has that slight bitterness. Though in terms of taste, I think this is typical home-cooking.

Crispy Tuna Tail

This Crispy Tuna Tail is the most out of ordinary among the dishes served to us at Biannah's Grill as perhaps most of us are only familiar with pork chicharon. This dish made use of tuna yet was able to exude the same crunchiness and essence. It went through a 3-hour cooking process to achieve this texture. Though, as this is made of tuna, expect it to be "fishy" compared to the usual chicharon. But who knows, this can be a healthier alternative.

For a laid-back unassuming ambiance and a variety of good home-cooked meals, Biannah's Grill is a perfect place for that. Hope to visit this again for a Friday chill-out with friends!
