What to Expect at “Light the Aisle”: A Signature Bridal Showcase by Solaire
![]() |
Weddings continue to evolve -- not just in scale, but in how they’re designed, experienced, and brought together.
And this May, that shift takes shape at Light the Aisle: A Luminous Beginning, happening on May 9–10, 2026 at Solaire Resort Entertainment City.
I got an early look at what they’re preparing during a preview last March 18 at the Pool Bar & Grill -- and what stood out right away was how everything was already presented as a complete space.
Not sections. Not samples. But setups that felt finished.
It made it easier to understand how a wedding actually comes together... not just visually, but in terms of flow, movement, and how guests experience the space.
More Than Just a Typical Bridal Setup
What Light the Aisle is doing differently is shifting away from the usual format.Instead of going from one supplier to another, the showcase brings everything together through fully styled wedding environments. Each participating planner creates a space that reflects their own approach -- from layout to styling to overall direction.
Among those involved are Kim Torres Events, Rhed Sarmiento Events, Christine Ong-Te Events, Sweet Comfort Events Management, Events by Miss P, and Kiss the Girl Events.
They’re joined by creative teams like Amante Fleurs, Eyecandy Manila, and Events Central by Anna Wintsel -- names that are already known for how they execute details at scale.
Seeing their work in a more complete setup changes how you take it in. It’s less about picking pieces, and more about understanding how everything works together.
What You’ll Experience During the Two Days
Beyond the setups, the event also brings together key parts of the planning process in one place. There will be venue tours, food tastings, consultations with suppliers, live performances, and bridal masterclasses -- giving couples a chance to move from ideas to actual decisions.
It’s not just about gathering inspiration, but seeing what’s possible when everything is already aligned.
A Highlight to Watch Out For
On May 10, the showcase will close with a bridal fashion show by Filipino designer Val Taguba. His designs are known for their structure and detail -- something that fits naturally into the overall direction of the showcase.
Seeing the Venue in a Different Way
From the Grand Ballroom to more intimate areas like the poolside and suites, each one offers a different way to host a celebration depending on the scale and setup. It’s one thing to know a venue -- it’s another to see how it can actually be used.
