Early bird ticket selling starts JUL01! |
I had the chance to immerse myself in German culture as I attended the media preview for the upcoming Oktoberfest hosted by German Club Manila and Solaire Resort Entertainment City. Even though Oktoberfest is still happening this October 9 to 11, the excitement was already in full swing during the preview lunch.

Oktoberfest 2025 is happening this OCT 09-11! |
Held at Solaire, the event showcased what guests can expect for the biggest and only authentic Oktoberfest in the Philippines, which will transform the Grand Ballroom into a massive Biergarten. From the first moment we entered, the festive German vibe was undeniable -- complete with hearty Bavarian dishes and traditional German singing that transported us straight to Munich.

Hofbräu is the official beer for the Oktoberfest |
One of the highlights is that Hofbräu, a classic Munich-style beer, will be the official beer partner this year. Guests will get to enjoy its finest brews and experience the authentic atmosphere reminiscent of Hofbräuhaus München, its iconic flagship beer hall.

Enjoy unlimited beer in true German way! |
We got a delicious preview of the Bavarian feast that will be served family-style at each beer garden table. There was an impressive spread of:
- Brotkorb (breadbasket) with oven-fresh German breads
- Laugenbrezel (Bavarian soft pretzels)
- Räucherlachs (German-style smoked salmon)
- Wiesen jause (German cold cuts and cheeses)
- Münchner Wurstsalat (Munich-style sausage salad)
- Kartoffelsalat (German potato salad)
- Krautsalad (white cabbage salad)

We also enjoyed a variety of bratwurst, from Weisswurst (poached veal and pork sausage) to Rostbratwurst (grilled coarse pork sausage) and Frankfurter with potato salad and Kaiser roll.

For the main course, guests will indulge in the Wiesn platte (Bavarian meat platter) featuring crispy pork knuckle, pork schnitzel, meat loaf, rotisserie chicken, sausage, mashed potatoes, sauerkraut, and onion jus. There’s also Rindsgulasch (beef goulash) with bread dumplings, and the irresistible Hausgemachte Käse Spätzle (homemade cheese spätzle) topped with mountain cheese and crispy onions.

And of course, no meal is complete without dessert! We sampled classic German treats like Apfelstrudel (apple strudel), Kaiserschmarrn (shredded caramelized pancake), and Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte (black forest gateau) -- each one promising to leave guests with sweet Oktoberfest memories.
