Wingman: Wings, Burger, and Fries

If not for Aldous' (of Wazzup Pilipinas) invite, I wouldn't have known an awesome hangout place right at the heart of Malugay St., Makati City -- Wingman, The Collective.

Wingman creates an entertaining atmosphere where one can just chug drinks 'til the wee hours, rip off some lip-smacking wings, and have fun conversations with friends.

It was obvious that this place has a lot of regular customers filling seats both inside and outside the restaurant. I wish it was bigger to accommodate more wing-lovers, but knowing that they'll soon have two new branches (Acacia Taguig and Newport) made me excited.


One will never run out of choices at Wingman considering they have 13 wing flavor selections, the most choices I've encountered so far, namely: Buffalo Classic, Lemon Pepper, Garlic Parmesan, Hickory Barbeque, Honey Mustard, Asian Invasion, Mango Barbeque, Honey Garlic, Teriyaki, Morrocan Chermoula, Prairie Fire, Szechuan Peanut, and Jamaican Jerk. Fried chicken wings were showered with homemade sauces served with side carrot sticks and ranch dressing. Half Dozen is at 200Php, while a Dozen costs 330Php. For a Special Bleu Cheese dipping, it's additional 30Php.

A Dozen of wings can be split in 2 flavors, and so we opted to have the Jamaican Jerk and Buffalo Classic. The Jamaican Jerk features some strong combination of tangy-ness and spice which would invite you to go for more. 


Buffalo Classic (Half Dozen - 200Php; Dozen - 330Php)

Medium, Hot, Apocalyptic, or Pinaka. The best in town

Wingman - Buffalo Classic

The Buffalo Classic is the best seller for 1] it is the default American wing flavor and is a safe choice for the non-experimental customers; and 2] it is simply good and has that classic hotness best paired with an ice cold beer. You can also challenge yourself with different levels of hotness: Medium, Hot, Apocalyptic, or Pinaka.


Lemon Pepper  (Half Dozen - 200Php; Dozen - 330Php)

The description says it all, definitely a must try

Lemon Pepper is one of the flavors I never had problem distinguishing. It isn't glazy, has black pepper bits all over and the taste is definitely lemony sourness.

Choose any 3 mini-burgers from above. Have them all the same or mix them up to fill your cravings or to find your favorite

Wingman - Homerun Sliders

Homerun Sliders is recommended for the first timers who wanted to try Wingman burgers yet can't decide which. It's like a sampler of burgers at a significant size with thick and juicy patty. And if it isn't enough, hey, it comes with fries!

A basket of hand-cut fries or hand -breaded onion rings. Fried golden brown and perfectly seasoned. All of our baskets are served with our homemade thousand island dipping sauce, ketchup, or mustard. Shoestring, Regular, Potato Wedge, Onion Ring, or Curly Twist

After too much wings and too many oozing flavors, a basket of Onion Rings or Potato Wedges provides an alternate, less dominant taste to pause for a while and to get ready for another round of wings.

Wingman also offers interesting flavored Margarita and a selection for more cocktail drinks. But since I am no longer into alcoholic drinks, bottomless Blue Lemonade has been my companion.


That night at Wingman was simply awesome and absolutely fun! Not only we enjoyed great wings and drinks, but the owner, Erik Waldie, also entertained us with a Trivia Game. It made our brain (or fingers, for those who are Googling the answers) work yet enjoying the night. Wingman is definitely a place for good times and great dude food.
