TRAVEL: Day Hike at Mount Talamitam

Mount Talamitam is located in Sitio Bayabasan, Brgy. Aga, Nasugbu, Batangas. Similar to Manabu Peak, it is a two-hour climb to the peak (minor climb) and recommended for beginner hikers. As this can be finished in half a day, some consider going to Mount Batulao after.

Where to go
River - You'll pass by this river at the start of the trek. But it's good to go back here after the trek where you can just feel the water on your feet and relax.

Specialty/Souvenirs
Batangas is known for their kapeng barako, lomi, and bulalo. Grab some if you have the time.

Other comments
At the start, you'll pass by two bridges over the river, the cemented one, and the one made of bamboo. After that would be the only "woody" part of the trek where you'll take a sudden ascent. That will be your warm-up. From here until near the peak, it can be considered a "walk in the park" -- well a very hot park especially if you started late as there are no trees to cover the scorching heat of the sun. Be ready with your sun gears. Going to the peak was quite challenging as aside from the 60-degree scramble, the tall grasses (talahib) are covering the trails.

Almost half of the trek, the terrain was like this
