Experience:
I studied at DLSU-Manila in college but didn't know about this hidden gem right in the heart of Manila -- or probably, it wasn't there at that time... (oops!). It was rainy when we went and so I hope for the best out of our stay as we won't be able to leave our hotel anyway. We were greeted by a cozy and neat hotel lobby, and friendly staff -- that's a good start!

The actual room didn't disappoint. It is equipped with a proximity card sensor which most hotels are using now, and an electronic bell/DND/make up room buttons which is very convenient and I haven't seen anywhere else yet.

There's complimentary water, tea, and coffee, but what stands out for me is the complimentary mini bar!! Yes, complimentary, when most of the hotels would have them for a fee. I'd say it has everything I need for a comfy stay -- even ironing equipment, safety deposit box, and hair dryer.

The room is spacious yet remains cozy. My son and I loved the soft bed and bedding that gave us a wonderful sleep. Carpet is wall-to-wall even in the hallway so we don't mind walking barefooted.

Facilities:
While staying at Hotel Benilde, you can use the gym and swimming pool for free. Though when we weren't able to try the pool as it was raining at that time.

There's another restaurant located at the roof deck - Vatel Restaurant. It serves authentic Mediterranean-French cuisine though it wasn't open during weekends.

We were able to check the other room types when we were toured by the friendly staff.

Presidential Suite (Php15,000)
The Presidential Suite is a wow! It has a spacious living room, a dining area, and kitchen. The bedroom is even more grand, while the bathroom has a jacuzzi. Amazing!

Dormitory (Php1,200 per person)
Meant for students is the Dormitory Room. There are 2 rooms -- one for girls and another for boys. Each room has a number of bunk beds, locker, desk for studying, shower room and toilet.

PWD Rooms
I love the idea that they have rooms meant for PWD. Same price as the Deluxe Queen/Superior Twin, but these rooms have additional facilities that would aid PWD guests. For instance, the door has two peep holes considering a person on wheel chair. The bathroom is more roomy, has hand rails near the toilet and shower area.

mom and son bonding staycation at Hotel Benilde!

I didn't realize that even though it was raining and we weren't able to maximize the facilities, we were still able to have a wonderful and relaxing stay at Hotel Benilde. An elegant and comfortable ambiance, paired with great food from Cafe Romancon, as well as the warm and accommodating staff made this experience something that I would truly want to happen again.
