REVIEW: Naturelle: P888 Fabulous Hair Rebonding & Blow Dry including Wash, Haircut and Cellophane (2100Php Value) from MetroDeal!

I have a thick "natural" wavy hair. It gets spongy, dry, and because of its volume, it's hard to control. As early as first year high school, I have already tried hair straightening. There goes the hair relax, then the hair rebond. I tried hair rebond 3 years ago, and it was the best I had so far. The result looks natural, it's easy to comb even when wet, and has its natural gloss. Since then, I had hair rebond yearly.

Just in time for my yearly rebond, I saw this deal from MetroDeal. Seems a saver from my usual 1500Php rebond + cellophane treatment, and since Naturelle is just a few walks away from our home, I tried this out.

Here are some comments I have to give before discussing the actual treatment:
  • Voucher Validity was changed from February 29, 2012 to November 30, 2011 - When I bought this voucher, I had the thought of using it late December or early January. But I was surprised when I checked online, validity was changed to until November 30 only. Tried to call Naturelle to verify, but the lines are down. So I just went directly to the salon and asked about it. Good thing, they verified that it is still until February 29, 2012. As to why it was changed online, that wasn't answered.
  • Naturelle's contact numbers are unreachable/not in use - Several times I tried to contact their numbers (to check the voucher's validity, to confirm reservation, etc) but it all failed. I even tried to look for their other numbers posted in Facebook and sites. I found a mobile number, but still, no one is answering. I was just lucky that the salon is relatively near our place so I just went there to schedule a reservation and to raise my other concerns.
  • Reservation failed - When I had the reservation, they informed me to have it at 10am as the treatment takes several hours. However, on the scheduled date, I came on time yet to my surprise, the salon was still CLOSED. Since I cannot contact their numbers, I just had to wait. It almost took an hour before one of the hair stylists came. Gladly, he entertained me right away and started the procedure.

Naturelle is a small salon, along JP Rizal, Makati, consisting of only 4 staffs (I guess at most 2 staffs a day). Not much to say about the ambiance, so let's proceed with the actual treatment.

*The Hair Rebond with Cellophane*

The procedure started with shampooing (hair wash) then the application of a hair treatment (which I'll refer to as "chemical" hehe). The chemical was left on my hair for about an hour. It was then rinsed and blow-dried. Next is what I think an important part of hair rebond, the ironing! Compared to what I had in my previous rebonds, the stylist is getting more/thicker strands of hair to iron, which in effect may have an unpolished result. Ironing was followed by another chemical treatment for around 30mins. My hair was then rinsed, shampooed, and then the final blow-dry. As haircut is part of the deal, I requested to at least trim the ends for a smooth edge.

For best results, I was advised not to wet my hair for 3 days and to use conditioner only for a week.

It has been more than a month now since I had the hair rebond. It provided result as my hair is still straight, but it wasn't really satisfactory. Not the best I had. My hair is starting to get dry and I am also experiencing hair breakage. I ain't blaming the treatment alone as it may also be due to the hair rebond + hair color I had the previous year.

*sorry if you can't spot that much difference. hehe
