It's the time of the year again to let your little ones discover the magical and colorful world of live theater! Repertory Philippines (REP) Theater for Young Audiences brings you a fairly tale classic they've never done before -- Rapunzel! Rapunzel! A Very Hairy Fairy Tale!

Catch the musical runs from September 15, 2018 to January 27, 2019 at the OnStage Theater, Greenbelt 1, Makati City.

Cara Barredo as Rapunzel 

It isn't the Disney Rapunzel most of us grew up with. But it's the same Princess Rapunzel with a very long golden hair, trapped inside a tower by the evil aunt, and saved by a prince charming. Add to that REP's very own flavors and vibrant characters making this musical show a perfect weekend treat to kiddos.

Steven Hotchkiss as Edgar, Hans Eckstein as Sir Roderick 

Filled with colorful costumes, fancy hairstyles, and enchanting stage setup, Director Joy Virata truly knows the way to capture the attention of the young ones and even those young at heart. The play is interactive and the casts roam inside the theater gaining utmost audience participation. You can see the thrill and delight in the kids' eyes as they genuinely try to help the characters.

• Edgar : Steven Hotchkiss, Chino Veguillas, Kenny Isidro
• Gypsy Woman : Bituin Escalante, Naths Everett, Cara Barredo

I happen to watch the Cara-Carla-Arnel-Hans-Steven-Bituin show and these actors are really animated and brilliant. Cara Barredo played the Rapunzel role so "princess-y" that little girls will dream of. But even little boys, like my son, identified themselves with the way Hans Eckstein portrayed the valiant Sir Roderick. Arnel Carrion as Socrates and Steven Hotchkiss as Edgar the hairstylist created a lot of charm and brought tons of fun to the kids. I was personally in awe with Carla Guevara-Laforteza's striking performance as the evil Lady Zaza -- the type that will make you crinch your teeth in anger. Bituin Escalante was on fire! Her vocal prowess and astounding execution of the Gypsy Woman role radiated inside the theater.
