Welch's: 4 Things I Love About this 100% Grape Juice brand!

Welchs 150 Years of Real Grape Goodness
Welch's 150 Years of Real Grape Goodness!

When it comes to grape juice, there's no other brand that comes to my mind but Welch's. I've known this brand since I was a kid but back then, our family only had this on special occasions or when there's extra budget. It wasn't so accessible back then but thanks to Fly Ace Corporation for making it much available to consumers nowadays.

Our favorite Welch's products

150 years of real grape goodness! I cannot imagine how a grape juice brand could last one and a half centuries, but it just shows how Welch's is well-loved by people, young or old.

Welch's Grape Juice from then 'til now, always Welch's!

Even I am loving this product! And here I share the four (4) things I love about Welch's and why I think this brand lasted that long!

  • It is Owned by Farmers - I think one reason why Welch's lasted for more than a century is that it is not being ran by just one big company. Welch's is owned by a cooperative of farmers. Over 900 farmer families put their heart to produce Welch's products. You'll be surprised to meet a farmer who actually owns Welch's

  • It is Your Healthier Nutritional Choice - Welch's is 100% grape juice made from Concord Grapes. It only makes use of the grapes' natural sugars (no sugar added) which are low in the glycemic index compared to other forms of sugar. The use of Concord Grapes also makes this product good for the heart and high in antioxidants due to its large concentrated amount of polyphenols

Oh yes, I love Welch's!

  • Welch's is More Than Just Grape Juice -  We all love the grape juice not just for the health benefits but also for its fresh rich taste. But now, they've expanded to other products such as Welch's Sparkling! Available in White Grape and Red Grape flavors, this juice cocktail has no alcohol making it perfect for the whole family, and has refreshing bubbly taste that I really love!

We also recently discovered Welch's Fruit Snacks which is made from real fruit making it a better choice over other gummies. My son loves gummies and with Welch's Fruit Snacks, I'm confident that it has no preservatives, gluten-free, and contains Vitamin C, A, and E

  • ½ cup low-fat granola
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup WELCH'S 100% GRAPE JUICE
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup canola oil
  • ⅔ cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp grated lemon zest

  1. Preheat the oven to 400° F. Coat a muffin pan with cooking spray or line with paper cups
  2. Place the granola in a heavy-duty plastic bag and crush it lightly with a rolling pin or other heavy object to break up any large clumps. Set aside
  3. In a large bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix until blended
  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together the grape juice, egg, oil, sugar and lemon zest until incorporated. Add this wet mixture to the dry ingredients, blend and stir with a rubber spatula until homogenized
  5. Fill the prepared muffin cups about two-thirds with batter. Sprinkle with the granola and pat it in lightly so that it adheres
  6. Place the muffin pan in the oven and bake until the tops are golden brown and a cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean, about 20-25 minutes. Let cool in the pan for 5 minutes. Run a small knife around the edges and turn the muffins out onto a wire rack to cool slightly. Serve at room temperature
