Shangri-La Plaza: Dining Destinations for that Love at First Bite!

#LoveAtTheShang

February is my favorite month not just because it is my birth month. More so, it is the LOVE month! I associate it with hearts, flowers, sweets, romance. But what isn't so obvious is that it could also mean a hearty meal! And not necessarily something to be shared by a couple, but by people close to our hearts like our family and friends.

This Valentine season, feel the love through bonding and sharing meals in these selected dining destinations at Shangri-La Plaza.

Wobbly Pan (Level 1, Main Wing)
Wobbly Pan Tortilla Chips with Queso Fundido, and Gambas
Paella Valenciana Paella Negra

At Wobbly Pan, nothing says "Te amo!" in black and white as Paella Negra with its smooth and bursting flavor. Show your loaded love with Paella Valenciana that is topped with chorizo, clams, mussels, chicken, and shrimps! Feeling cheesy? Then Tortilla Chips with Queso Fundido is sure to satisfy it, with added spices and chorizo bits. If you are in need of a pair, worry not as Wobbly Pan is a resto-bar that offers cocktails, spiked shakes, liquors, and wines for that perfect pairing with their signature tapas.

La Creperie (Level 2, Main Wing)
Strawberry Mango Jubilee
French Onion with Gruyere Cheese Mango Hazelnut Au Chocolat
Matcha Green Tea Mille Crepes Cake

Express your love the French way at La Creperie. Start with a warm and rich French Onion Soup. Enjoy their salad, pasta, and sandwiches but never miss their galettes and crepes! For a fruity option, have Strawberry Mango Jubilee -- fresh mango and strawberry drizzled with orange rum sauce and topped with vanilla ice cream. My favorite is the Mango Hazelnut Au Chocolat -- a bitter-sweet chocolate crepe with mango filling, topped with hazelnut spread, salted butter caramel, and sliced almonds! And since La Creperie specializes in crepes, they also offer Mille Crepes Cake in Salted Butter Caramel, Chocolate, French Vanilla, and Matcha Green Tea flavors.

Oppa! Chicken (Level 6, Main Wing)
Oppa! Chicken Chicken Fondue, and 4-in-1 Platter
creamy cheese sauce dip! Toppoki

A K-drama fan? Then bring your "oppa" or "noona" to Oppa! Chicken for a fun chicken and beer experience. Great choice for groups is the 4-in-1 Platter which includes 4 amazing flavors of their thinly coated yet definitely crispy chicken. A more exciting choice which I personally love is the Chicken Fondue. The melted cheddar-mozzarella dip goes well with anything and makes everything standout! A must try at Oppa! Chicken is the Toppoki. It's a famous Korean street food but here, it is made special -- not too spicy, creamy, and truly enjoyable.

Sweet Inspirations (Level 5, Main Wing)
Sweet Inspirations Mongolian Rice Bowls
Spicy Pork Spareribs, Roast Beef, and Korean Beef Stew Korean Beef Stew

If you are an anything-goes type of person, then explore the selections at Sweet Inspirations. They serve various comforting home-cooked Filipino dishes, but they are also known for their Mongolian Buffet. Still, they are not limited to that as they also offer other dishes such this Korean Beef Stew, pasta, burgers, and a wide array of desserts!

Paper Moon Cafe (Level 3, Main Wing)
Blueberry Cheesecake Mille Crepe
Mango Mille Crepe Apple and Cheese Chiffon
Blueberry Cheese Tart

Next stop, Japan! Known as the home of one of Tokyo's best desserts, Paper Moon specializes on light, airy, and creamy mille crepe cakes. Mango Crepe Cake is my favorite and what I definitely recommend to try. Part of the layers are actual mangoes thinly sliced so the taste is so refreshing and real. Aside from crepe cakes, they also have cakes, blended beverages, coffee, and juice. Something new are the Apple and Cheese Chiffon, and Blueberry Cheese Tarts.

26th St. Bistro (Level 5, East Wing)
26th St. Bistro California Cobb
Mac & Cheese Herb Crusted Salmon with Lemon Risotto

Whether you're thinking of a simple coffee date, or a more delectable lunch, dinner, or all-day breakfast, 26th St. Bistro will provide you the cozy ambiance combined with quality and delicious food and drinks. I fell in love with their Mac & Cheese. The cheesiness and the add-on bacon bits are perfectly combined. Have a colorful yet protein-packed starter with California Cobb. More than a coffee place, 26th St. Bistro has a wide selection of sumptuous meals and most are shareable.
