Jonah's Fruit Shake: Banana Choco Peanut and Mango Banana with Milk

Jonah's Fruit Shake

Even before I went to Boracay, I have been hearing people advising to try Jonah's Fruit Shake. And I guess this place is quite famous, too, as while browsing for must-try's, I have seen some good posts about Jonah's. Even though I still have some doubts on why a fruit shake place be this popular, I still opted to put it in my Boracay food trip list.

It was already our last night in Boracay, right after a buffet dinner, when we walked to Station 1 just to visit Jonah's Fruit Shake. The place is near Willy's Rock and has a simple yet colorful ambiance of green, yellow, and orange. At that time, avocado, strawberry, papaya, and melon were not available so we just settled to what are left among the best sellers: Banana Choco Peanut, and Mango Banana.

Banana Choco Peanut is an interesting mix. I have tried banana and chocolate combined, while chocolate and peanut equates to Reese's or Chocnut (if you prefer the local version). With these three ingredients combined, the result is a creamy nutty delight! The taste of banana is distinct, the bits of nuts cannot be ignored, while the chocolate was not the bittery type but more of a sweet local one. But overall, this is recommended!

Mango Banana (with Milk) (110Php)

The combination of mango and banana is not so new, yet never fails to give a refreshing feeling. With the addition of milk, it was like a milk shake with rich and creamy texture. The mango used was sweet and ripe, and the taste and viscosity of banana was noticeable, too, but gave a perfect blend to the drink.

There are a lot of places that offer fruit shakes yet you cannot guarantee the taste especially if it's your first time to try the place. Some may be better, but some may be a "better luck next time". But with Jonah's, you can't go wrong.
